Autumn of the world, autumn of a life

Autumn of the world, autumn of a life

There’s a moment every year when the trees start turning gold, and I can’t help thinking about the way our own years turn too.

Autumn has that quiet confidence — it doesn’t beg for attention, it just arrives, steady and unbothered, wearing colours summer could never handle.

And honestly? Reaching sixty feels a lot like that.

The world tells you it’s the “autumn of life,” like it’s some kind of ending.

But to me, it feels more like a beginning — the season where you finally stop running behind things and start walking with yourself.

The leaves aren’t dying; they’re changing.

They’re loosening what they no longer need.

They’re taking the last, richest colours and putting them on display without apology.

There’s something powerful in that.

At sixty, you don’t chase approval.

You don’t waste energy on noise.

You know what matters, and what doesn’t even deserve a footnote.

Autumn isn’t the season of fading — it’s the season of clarity.

The season where the world steps into its real, grounded beauty.

And if this is the autumn of my life...

Then I’ll wear it like the trees do:

with strength, colour, and a kind of elegance you only earn by living long enough to understand yourself.
